Hours & Admissions
The Loeb Visitors Center is open for exhibits and the Colonial Jewish walking tour.
May: Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
June: Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
While in the Loeb Visitors Center, explore two floors of exhibits, browse our gift shop, and enjoy our beautiful grounds. Learn how Newport and its colonial Jewish community played a role in the origins of religious freedom and the separation of Church and State in this country.
The schedule is subject to change without notice, particularly due to inclement weather. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

Admission Rates
Admission fees have been waived for general visitation. A suggested $5 per person donation is requested.
There are fees for the Colonial Jewish walking tour and group visits.
Colonial Jewish Walking Tours
Trace the same steps walked by the colonial-era Jewish community in Newport and see where congregants lived, worked, and worshipped in the 1700s. The walking tour takes you through the Touro Synagogue neighborhood, bringing the synagogue’s rich history to life.
The tour takes about an hour and is weather-dependent. Walks may be cancelled without advanced notice, particularly due to inclement weather.
Please note that some of the sidewalks are narrow and uneven; this walk is not suitable for young children.
Tours are limited to 18 people, and reservations are requested.

Walking Tour Rates: $18 per person
Payment is due upon arrival at the Loeb Visitors Center, 52 Spring Street. Walking tour tickets are not available for sale online.
May: Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays at 11:00 am except for the following date: Monday, May 18, at 10:30 am. (Availability on both of these days is limited.)
June: Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 11:00 am.
